Update: Stimulus Payments

The IRS has announced that the stimulus payments received during 2021 will NOT be counted as income.  However, it is still important that you tell me the amount that you received for both of the stimulus payment distributions.

Anyone who was supposed to receive stimulus payments but did not in 2021 or who received less than expected can still receive those payments when the 2021 tax return is filed.

It is very important that you also check the bank information we have on file for you so that the IRS can directly deposit your payment.
Watch for your Letters!

Letter 6419 - Advance Child tax credit payments.   If you have a child under age 18 you should receive a letter 6419 from the IRS showing the total amount of advance child tax credit payments you received (if any).  I need that letter or that amount to complete your tax form.  If you did not receive this letter go to:
www.irs.gov
Select "Child tax credit update portal"
Select "Manage advance payments" and follow the prompts to obtain the amount shown by the IRS as paid to you in advance.
NOTE: There will be a separate letter for each spouse.  I will need both letters.

Letter 6475 -  Stimulus payments - This letter from the IRS will show the total amount of stimulus payment you received in 2021.  This amount is not taxable but if you did not get the full amount you may be able to claim the part you did not receive as a tax credit on your tax return.

Form 1095A Marketplace Insurance.  If you had insurance through the Marketplace you will receive a form 1095A.  This form is required on your return.
